Creating Solutions for Today’s Environmental Issues
The United Nations reported that at least 800 species worldwide are affected by marine debris, and as much as 80% of that litter is plastic.
Fish, seabirds, sea turtles, and marine mammals can ingest or become entangled in or ingest plastic debris which causes suffocation, starvation and drowning.
In addition to that, close to 700 species of marine life are facing extinction due to the increase in plastic pollution.
Both animals and humans are not immune to this threat.
